Kokopelli - Team Hobo

The Kokopelli trail is a mountain bike trail that goes from Loma Colorado to Moab Utah. It consists of 142 miles of amazing terrain from desert sandy roads and high mountain single track, to slick rocks of Moab. Some guys can do this trail in a single day but we completed the trail in 4 days.

Our team consisted of Paul who is was the leader of the pack at 58 years old and he rode this trail last year too, Tim who kept everyone in line and happy as he sang along the way, James who made sure that we had plenty of "Anti-Oxidants" and provided a nice "aroma" in the tent, me who was a bit accident prone with my new clip in pedals and our support driver Beau who provided support and plenty of entertainment as he talked to the trees, flowers and animals. Beau drove the truck that carried all of our gear and met us at camp were we would get some good dinner and sleep for the night. We decided to name our team "Team Hobo" because of our great support driver.

Day 1 we rode from Loma (Kokopelli Trail Head) to Fish Ford. Not to mention a detour to the hospital for stitches. Day 2 we rode from Fish Ford to Hideout Canyon. Day 3 we rode from Hideout Canyon to Cold Springs in the LaSal Mountains. Finally Day 4 we rode from Cold Springs to Moab.

The trail has a total of 18,000 feet elevation gain if you add up all of the "ups".
